Welcome to NONA

NONA is an accredited Child Development Centre in Vernon, BC. If you have questions about your child’s development, we can help.

NONA stands for the North Okanagan Neurological Association, but we are better known as the NONA Child Development Centre. Our role is to help families with their children’s development. This site lets parents, service providers, and the community know about the services we provide to families.

If you who have questions about your child’s development you can get information from your doctor or from us by using a referral form.

There are also many resources here on our website and we encourage families to sign up to receive our newsletter

  • Infant Development

    The Infant Development Program (IDP) serves children from birth to three years old, who are at risk for, or who already have a delay in development.

    Supported Child Development

    The Supported Child Development (SCD) program helps children be successful in child care. We work with children from birth to 12 years who need extra support to participate in their preschool, daycare or after school program.

    The Key Worker and Parent Support Program helps families of children and youth with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and similar neurodevelopmental conditions (birth to 19 years).

    We offer services for children and youth to the month of their 19th birthday.

You can also get your child’s doctor to refer to our Centre. Our funding is provided by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. There are no fees for services at NONA.
